How does a UCSD audit work?
How does a UCSD audit help students track their degree requirements? I’d like to understand how students can use the audit to review completed courses and identify requirements still needed for graduation.

A UCSD academic audit (called the Degree Audit, run through TritonLink/DegreeWorks) lets you check your progress toward graduation in real time. It breaks down requirements — college general-education, major, and minor — into categories, showing which are “complete,” “in-progress,” or “not met.” Completed and in-progress courses auto-populate against each requirement, so you can see exactly what’s left. Run it regularly (especially before registration) to catch missing requirements early, confirm transfer credit applied correctly, and plan remaining quarters. If something looks wrong, your college academic advisor can help interpret or correct it.

At UC San Diego (UCSD), a degree audit checks your academic progress against your graduation requirements, including major courses, general education, university requirements, and any minor.

To run one, log in to the Triton Student System (TSS), open the Degree Audit app, select your degree program, and click Run Declared Programs. Review the results to see completed and outstanding requirements. If anything looks incorrect, contact your academic advisor.

If you mean auditing a class without enrolling, that is a different process and requires the instructor’s permission.
