What currency does Italy use?
What does Italy use for currency? I’d like to understand the official currency used in Italy and how it compares with other major currencies.

Currency in use is the euro (€). The currency code is EUR. The euro became the currency in Italy in 1999 for electronic payments and in 2002 for notes and coins, in place of the Italian lira.
