What does a law clerk do?
What does a law clerk do on a typical day? I’m interested in understanding the main responsibilities, skills, and types of legal research or support a law clerk may handle.

Basically they research cases and help judges or lawyers draft opinions and memos, lots of reading honestly. Good stepping stone if you're eyeing law school later.

A law clerk supports lawyers and judges by researching, document preparation, examining case files, making legal arguments, and organizing information. The tasks are not always the same for each person, but generally involve helping make decisions based on law and accurate documents and research.

What they do is research the case and help the judge or lawyer draft their opinions and memos. It's a lot of reading really. Good way to start off for if you're looking toward law school.
