What is balance sheet classification?
How does balance sheet classification work in accounting? I’d like to understand how assets, liabilities, and equity are grouped and classified when preparing a company’s balance sheet.

Balance Sheet Classification refers to the method of segregating the financial elements of a business into various types like assets, liabilities and shareholders' equity. Assets and liabilities may be classified further as either current or non-current, depending on the nature of the financial element.
