Where do you find AGI on a W-2?
Does a W-2 show AGI, or is adjusted gross income calculated from information on the tax return? I’d appreciate clarification on where taxpayers should look for their AGI.

AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) isn’t listed directly on a W-2. Your W-2 shows your wages in Box 1, which is one of the figures used to calculate AGI. You’ll usually find your actual AGI on Form 1040, Line 11.

You don't find AGI on a W-2. A W-2 reports your wages and certain taxes withheld. Your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is calculated on your federal tax return and appears on Form 1040, line 11. If you need your previous year's AGI for tax filing, you can also find it through your IRS Online Account or tax return transcript.

Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is not directly listed on a W-2. Your W-2 reports wages and other payroll information, while AGI is calculated on your federal tax return using income and applicable adjustments.
